We have seen the order dated 31.03.2025 passed by the Debts Recovery Tribunal, Coimbatore, where the Presiding Officer has mentioned that he was the lawyer who had been instructed by petitioner and therefore, the matter is required to be transferred to some other Debts Recovery Tribunal. 3. Mr.Ganesan states that even the bank has filed transfer applications in Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Chennai, being Transfer Application Nos.4, 5, 7 and 8 of 2025, to transfer the matters to the Debts Recovery Tribunal, Chennai. Page 2 of 6 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRP No.2598 of 2025 4. Counsel for petitioner states that petitioner is an individual, living in Ooty and it will be better if the matter is transferred to Debts Recovery Tribunal, Madurai, as prayed for, because Madurai is about 300 k.m. away from Ooty; whereas Chennai is about 650 k.m. away. 5. In view thereof and in view of the fact that the bank can certainly arrange to be represented in Madurai we transfer S.A.Nos.34/2015, 271/2019, O.A.No.157/2025 and S.A.No.540 of 2021 on the file of the Presiding Officer, Debts Recovery Tribunal, Coimbatore to Debts Recovery Tribunal, Madurai. 6. In view of the above, the transfer applications pending in Debt Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Chennai, taken up by bank being Transfer Application Nos.4, 5, 7 and 8 of 2025 stand disposed of. 7. Since the matter relates to loans given in 2007 and the loans were declared as 'non-performing asset' in September, 2014, the Debts Recovery https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis CRP No.2598 of 2025 Tribunal, Madurai is requested to dispose of all the applications as expeditiously as possible, preferably on or before 31.12.2025. 8.
