THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE HARINATH.N WRIT PETITION No.24844 OF 2025 ORDER
1. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the 2ndrespondent - Corporation has entrusted the work viz., construction of CC roads and BT roads in 1st, 12th, 19th and 23rd wards in Atmakur Municipality, by the vide agreement No.33/2017-18, dated 11.12.2017, to the petitioner.
2. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly completed the work undertaken, and subsequently submitted a final bill amounting to Rs.1,34,73,390/-. Out of which, the petitioner has been paid Rs.92,14,781/- in two parts on 17.08.2018 and 16.02.2022, leaving a balance of Rs.39,34,542/-. To support this claim, the petitioner has filed a statement showing the outstanding balance payable by the 2nd respondent, along with relevant portions of the measurement book. However, in spite ofthe completion of all procedural formalities, the balance of payment for the works completed has not been released for the past three years.
3. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration & Urban Development, the learned Standing Counsel for the Corporation and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning.
4. During the course of the hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the Corporation does not dispute the submissions made

by the petitioner with respect to the completion of the work undertaken and balance of amount for the works executed.
5. Considering the submissions, respondents 2 and 3 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
7. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
