1. Petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking following reliefs:-
“10.1 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to call the records pertaining to the case from the respondent authorities. 10.2 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondents no. 13 to decide the election petition filed by the petitioner bearing Election Petition No. A-89/21/2024-25 expeditiously, within stipulated time, in accordance with law.
3 10.3 That, this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to grant any other relief which may be deem fit in the given facts and circumstances of the instant case including cost of litigation.”
2. Learned counsel for petitioner submits that petitioner had filed an election petition under Section 122 of the Chhattisgarh Panchayat Raj Adhiniyam, 1993 on 13.03.2025. Election petition was registered, thereafter, notices were issued and contesting party that is non- applicant no. 1 has caused her appearance. Thereafter, most of the respondents/non-applicants have submitted their reply, however, there is delay in proceedings of election petition therefore, direction be issued to Election Tribunal to conclude trial of election petition within specified time frame.
3. Learned counsel for State submits that in view of limited prayer made by counsel for the petitioner, he is having no objection to submission of
learned counsel for petitioner.
4. I have heard learned counsel for respective parties.
5. On due consideration of submission made by learned counsel for the respective parties, this writ petition at this stage is disposed of directing respondent no. 13 to conclude the trial of Election Petition, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a further period of 06 months from the next date fixed for hearing.
