It is submitted that the petitioner is a trader and has sold Jaggery to the accused, who alleged by indulged in preparation of illicit liquor. It is submitted that the petitioner was not aware of the nature of business of the other accused, and his role is only to sell Jaggery. It is submitted that selling Jaggery is not an offence. 2. 3. Considering the submissions, there shall be a direction to the Station House Officer, Prohibition and Excise, Chittoor Urban, Chittoor District, to complete the investigation against the petitioner herein without taking any coercive steps. With these observations, this Criminal Petition is disposed off, and this shall not preclude the Station House Officer/Investigating Officer from filing the final report/charge sheet. 4.
