1. Through the medium of the present petition, petitioner seeks the following reliefs: i. A writ of mandamus, commanding and directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner projected in the representations dated 11.07.2024, already submitted in the office of Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, and Chief Educational Officer, Poonch. ii. A writ of mandamus, commanding and directing the respondents to select and appoint the petitioner as post of Seasonal Teacher in Dhok Chamba, Tehsil Mandi, District Poonch on the basis of the criteria fixed by the Government of J&K and not to consider candidates for the post of seasonal teacher out of zone of consideration in violation of Govt. guidelines.
2. The case of the petitioner is that, he possesses the requisite educational qualification and fulfills the eligibility criteria prescribed for engagement as Seasonal Teacher in Dhok Chamba,

Tehsil Mandi, District Poonch, under the norms issued by the School Education Department.

It is submitted that the respondents have initiated the process of engagement of Seasonal Teacher for the academic session 2023- 2024 for seasonal school falling under Dhok Chamba, District Poonch. The petitioner, being eligible in all respects, submitted his application form along with all requisite documents before the concerned authorities.
4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents have not completed the selection process as per the prescribed norms. Instead, candidates from other areas, who neither own land nor reside in Dhok Chamba, Tehsil Mandi, District Poonch, have been engaged in violation of the Government guidelines, which mandate that a candidate must have land and residence in the concerned Dhok, where he seeks selection and appointment as Seasonal Teacher.
5. After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would be satisfied, if the present petition is
disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide his representation dated 11.07.2024 within a time-bound manner.
6. In view of the submission made, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider and decide the petitioner’s representation dated 11.07.2024, strictly in accordance with law, rules, and Government guidelines, within a period of four weeks

from the date a certified copy of this order is made available to them by the petitioner.
7. Accordingly, this petition is disposed of.
