Supplementary affidavit filed today is taken on record. 2. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 3. The instant writ petition has been filed for following relief: "(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned orders dated 20.02.2025 (Annexure No.1) passed by respondent No.2 and 10.06.2024 (Annexure No.2) passed by respondent no.3" 4. Contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that a mutation order was passed in his favour on 26.12.2016 on the basis of a sale deed executed in his favour in the year 2001. A restoration application has been filed by the private respondents on 10.6.2024 on the ground that area for which the name of the petitioner has been mutated is more than what has been mentioned in the sale deed. On the said application, the operation of order dated 26.12.2016 passed in favour of the petitioner has been stayed by the order dated 10.6.2024. Against this order, the petitioner preferred a revision and the same has also been dismissed. 5. Learned Standing Counsel has submitted that since the restoration application is pending, no useful purpose would be served in keeping this petition pending. 6. The present petition stands disposed of finally with a direction to the respondent No. 3 to consider and decide the restoration application filed by the private respondents, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of production of a certified copy of this order after ensuring service upon all the respondents and after giving opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned provided that there is no other legal impediment.
