Order 27/10/2025 At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that admittedly, petitioner has alternative remedy of filing revision petition against the order impugned before the Food Commissioner/Additional Food Commissioner. It appears from the record that petitioner has straightway approached this court by way of filing this writ petition without availing the alternative remedy. It is a settled proposition of law that whenever alternative remedy is available to a person, he cannot be allowed to bypass a statutory alternative remedy. In view of above, instant writ petition stands disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to approach the appropriate authority
[2025:RJ-JP:43008] (2 of 2) [CW-21424/2019] by way of filing revision petition. In case any revision petition is preferred by the petitioner before the revisional authority within a period of one month from today, the revisional authority is
directed to treat the revision petition within period of limitation and decide the same on merits after affording opportunity of hearing to all the respective parties, expeditiously as early as possible. Stay application and all applications (pending, if any) also stand disposed of.
