Order on Board 07/02/2025 Per Ramesh Sinha, Chief Justice This petition has been filed for modification in the judgment dated 10.06.2024 passed by this Court in a bunch of Criminal Appeals, CRA No. 1095 of 2023 being the lead one.

2. Counsel for the petitioner submits that though the criminal appeals referred to above were allowed on 10.06.2024 and the appellants therein were acquitted of the charges leveled against them, there was no observation as to the amount directed to be confiscated by the
judgment impugned which comes to Rs. 12,82,570/-. Therefore, by this petition a prayer has been made for release of the said amount.
3. State counsel however objected to the prayer made by the counsel for the petitioners.
4. After hearing counsel for the parties, the trial Court is directed to take a decision with respect to the amount confiscated, in accordance with law. The said decision of the trial Court however shall be subject to the fate of the SLP filed by the State, if any.
5. This petition is accordingly disposed of. Sd/- Sd/- (Sachin Singh Rajput)
