ORDER
1. This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner.
2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent- Corporation.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the work, viz., construction of CC Drains from Military Hotel to 13-1-166, 13-1-161 to 13-1-170 in PK Street, 14-3-251 to 14-3-269 in Konetikatta, Bandla Street 12-4-385 to 12-4-448, Nehru Street 14-1-8 to 14-1-11, Home Guard Office to Vijaya Food Corner in Ward No.26/2 (Gadapagadapa Programme) vide Agreement No.170/M.E/2023-2024, dated 02.08.2023, as entrusted by the 6th respondent.
4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed the work to the satisfaction of the 6th respondent. It is further submitted that after execution of the work, the competent authority recorded the progress of the work in M Books and final quality assessments were also done by the 7th respondent and thereafter the petitioner has submitted a final bill for a sum of Rs.12,54,035/- and the 4th respondent

approved the same. However, no payment has been made to the petitioner.
5. During the course of the hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondents 3 to 7 does not dispute the submissions made by the petitioner with respect to the completion of the work undertaken.
6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2, 4 and 8 are hereby
directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
8. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
