GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the Respondents in opening and continuing rowdy sheet against me and paying domiciliary visits to my house asking repeatedly to appear before them as illegal, irregular, without jurisdiction and violative of provisions of Andhra Pradesh Police Standing Orders and offends articles 14 and 21 of Constitution of India and consequently quash the rowdy sheet No. 196 in Tekkali police station and not to interfere with my liberty in any manner in the interest of justice and pass such 2 other order or orders as this Honorable Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case.” 2. Sri M.Sapthagiri, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that, no cases are pending against the Petitioner and hence, the impugned rowdy sheet may be set aside. 3. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home by way of counter, would submit that, no cases are pending against the Petitioner and in order to curb and curtail the unlawful activities of the Petitioner the impugned rowdy sheet has been opened. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is allowed and the impugned Rowdy Sheet against the Petitioner is hereby set aside. There shall be no order as to costs.
