THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE HARINATH.N WRIT PETITION No.25813 OF 2025 ORDER
1. This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the action of the respondents for non-payment of the bills for the works undertaken by the petitioner. 2. Heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development, the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance and Planning, and the learned Standing Counsel for the respondent- Corporation. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has executed the work, viz., (i) Providing CC Drain and CC road from D.No.26/611-A2 D.No.26/610 to near Sowjanya Function Hall at Royal Compound in Ward No.30 (2nd call) vide agreement No.129/2023- 2024, dt.07.08.2023 and (ii) Construction of protection walls to Saleem Nagar to Haneef Nagar Bridge vide agreement No.144/2021-2022, dt.19.08.2021, as entrusted by the 4th respondent-Corporation. 4. The learned counsel further submits that the petitioner duly executed all the works to the satisfaction of the 4th respondent and thereafter submitted a final bill for a sum of Rs.24,48,417/-. It is submitted that the competent authority has recorded the progress of the work in the M books, issued a quality assurance certificate and also approved the bills. However, no payment has been forthcoming. 3 W.P. No.25813 OF 2025 Date of order: 22.09.2025

During the course of the hearing, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 4th respondent does not dispute the submissions made by the petitioner with respect to the completion of the work undertaken. 6. Considering the submissions, respondents 2 and 4 are hereby directed to verify and release the payments due payable to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 8.
