Order on Board 06.01.2025
1. This petition under Section 528 of the BNSS has been filed for extension of time to deposit the fine amount of Rs. 2500-2500/- each as per order dated 06.08.2024 passed by this Court in CR.R. No. 257/2015.
2. This Court, vide order dated 06.08.2024, while partly allowing the KUNAL DEWANGAN Digitally signed by KUNAL DEWANGAN Date: 2025.01.07 11:54:08 +0530
2 revision petition and sentencing the petitioners to the period already undergone, had enhanced the fine amount of Rs. 1000-1000/- each to Rs. 2500-2500/- (total 5000/-) and had granted two month’s time from the date of passing of the order for depositing the enhanced fine amount.
3.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners were not made aware of the order due to this miscommunication, and therefore, they could not deposit the enhanced fine amount within the specified time as directed by this Court. He further submits that the petitioners are fully committed to complying with the order of this Court and undertake to deposit the enhanced fine amount of Rs. 5000/- within such extended time as this Court may deem fit and proper. Hence, he prays that the time period for depositing the fine amount may be extended.
4.
Learned counsel for the other side has no objection.
5. The prayer made by the petitioners appears to be reasonable. Hence, the petitioners are granted further two weeks and no more time from today to deposit the enhanced fine amount as was ordered by this Court on 06.08.2024 in Cr.R. No. 257 of 2015.
6. Accordingly, this Cr.M.P. stands disposed of.
