GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, by the Petitioner seeking the following relief: “ ..... to issue a writ order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in opening and continuing the rowdy sheet against the petitioner through proceedings vide C.No.137/SDPO-ADN/2016 of SDPO Adoni is illegal arbitrary and unconstitutional and in violation of principals of natural justice and consequently, quash/set aside the rowdy sheet pending against the petitioner vide C.No.137/SDPO-ADN/2016 ...” Learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that basing on the order passed by respondent No.4, a rowdy sheet was opened against the Petitioner on the pretext that a crime is registered against him. The said crime was investigated, filed charge sheet vide CC No.106 of 2019 on the file of the I Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Adoni and Petitioner filed a discharge petition which is pending consideration before the Trial Court. Learned counsel would submit that the subject matter of this Writ Petition is squarely covered by the Orders of the Coordinate Bench of this Court in WP No.7369 of 2025 dated 09.05.2025 and requested to grant similar relief to the Petitioner herein. 3 Learned Assistant Government Pleader would fairly concede to the said request and would submit that this Court may pass appropriate orders. Considering the submissions and having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, this Writ Petition is allowed and the rowdy sheet No.698 opened against the Petitioner is hereby set aside.
