This Court, vide order dated 20.02.2024, passed in MCRC No. 654 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicants, namely, Soeil Khan Alias Sohail Khan and Akbar Khan had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the 2 date of date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Balod District-Balod (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 10.12.2024 has requested for grant of six months time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in this case, the prosecution has presented an examination program of 09 witnesses, out of which 02 witnesses have been examined by the competent Court. To ensure the presence of the remaining witnesses, summons/notices have been issued against them. Therefore, the case was fixed for prosecution evidence on December 10, 2024, and December 11, 2024. Hence, the conclusion of the trial is likely to take some time, therefore, he prays for grant of six months time for concluding the trial. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of six months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
