GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondent in continuing the rowdy sheet against the petitioner in C.No.299/SDPO.A/2020 dated 30-12-2020 without there being any cases pending against the petitioner and the action of 4th Respondent in summoning/calling the Petitioner frequently to the Ghantasala Police Station and detaining him in the police station for hours together on the pretext that rowdy sheet is pending against 2 him, as illegal, arbitrary, violation of principles of natural justice, violation of Article 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and contrary to provisions of Police Standing Order No.601, and consequently direct the Respondents to close the rowdy sheet opened against the petitioner in the interest of justice.” 2. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that there are no cases pending against the Petitioner and to curb and curtail the unlawful activities of the Petitioner the impugned Rowdy Sheet has been opened against the Petitioner. 3. Sri Ch.B.R.P.Sekhar, learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that, no cases are pending against the Petitioner and hence, the rowdy sheet opened against the Petitioner may be closed. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is allowed and the impugned Rowdy Sheet No.17/2019, vide C.No.299/SDPO.A/2020 dated 30.12.2020 against the Petitioner is hereby set aside. There shall be no order as to costs.
