CCP (S) No. 340/2024 By this petition, the petitioner herein has alleged non-compliance of
order passed by this Court on 24.07.2024 in WP (C) No. 1723/2024 titled
“Banwari Lal vs. UT of J & K and Ors.” operative portion, whereof reads as under:-
“In view of the limited nature of controversy and the relief sought in the petition, the present petition is
disposed of at the threshold by providing that the respondents shall treat the present writ petition as a representation and decided the same in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date copy of this present writ petition along with annexures is made available to them and after affording an opportunity of being heard to the petitioner.”
Compliance report stands filed, wherein it is stated that in compliance to the order passed by this Court on 24.07.2024, claim of the petitioner has been considered and examined by respondent no. 4, i.e., Executive Engineer, PW(R&B) Division Chatroo it has been found devoid of any merit Sr. No. 25

thus came to be rejected by passing a reasoned and speaking order vide order no. EE/R&B/CHT/2340-44 dated 17.02.2025. Respondents have placed on record copy of consideration order dated 17.02.2025. Mr. Ravinder Gupta, learned AAG states that respondents have complied with the order passed by this Court on 24.07.2024. In view of the consideration order passed by the respondent, order of this Court has been complied with, therefore, it would not be appropriate to keep these proceedings pending. Accordingly, proceedings in the contempt petition are closed. However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to challenge the consideration order, if so desires.
