This Court, vide order dated 27.03.2024, passed in MCRC No. 1218 of 2024, while rejecting the bail to the applicant, namely, Nakul Sahu had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment. 3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act) Balod, District-Balod (C.G.) 2 vide his request letter dated 10.12.2024 has requested for grant of some more time for concluding the trial. 4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in this case, the prosecution has presented an examination program of 10 witnesses, but no statements of prosecution witnesses have been recorded yet. Charge sheets have been filed against two accused, and a supplementary charge sheet against another accused, Jagtaran Tandon, was presented by Purur police station on September 18, 2024. Consequently, arguments on charges against Jagtaran Tandon have been scheduled for December 11, 2024 and the time prescribed by this Court is going to be expired therefore, he prays for grant of further more time for concluding the trial. 5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of four months from today. 6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction. 7.
