1. This is an ofÏce reference.
2. This Court, vide order dated 22.04.2024, passed in MCRC No. 2368 of 2024, while allowing the bail to the applicant, namely, Tikesh Nirmalkar had expressed its trust that the trial Court should make an earnest endeavor to conclude the trial expeditiously in accordance with law, preferably within a period of six months from the date of date of receipt of a certified copy of this order, if there was no legal impediment.
3. The learned Special Judge (NDPS Act) Balod, District-Balod (C.G.) vide his request letter dated 07.12.2024 has requested for grant of six
2 months time for concluding the trial.
4. It transpires from perusal of the PUD, that in this case, the prosecution has presented a list of 10 witnesses, out of which 1 witness has been examined by the the competent Court. Arrest warrants have been issued against the remaining witnesses to ensure their presence. Therefore, the case was currently scheduled for prosecution evidence on 20.12.2024 and 23.12.2024 and the time prescribed by this Court is going to be expired. Therefore, he prays for grant of further six months time for concluding the trial.
5. The request appears to be reasonable. The concerned trial Court is
directed to conclude the trial as early as possible, preferably within a further period of six months from today.
6. Accordingly, this CRMP stands disposed off with the aforesaid direction.
7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance. Sd/-
