(DB) 2261 of 2024. Learned advocate appearing for the State submits that the co-accused was enlarged on bail by the Coordinate Bench was arrested in another police case with ammunition. Petitioner otherwise is on the same footing as that of the co-accused who was enlarged on bail by the Coordinate Bench on September 18, 2024 passed in C.R.M. (DB) 2261 of 2024. 2 Conduct of the co-accused subsequent to the grant of the bail need not visit the petitioner at this stage. On the ground of parity so far as the present police case is concerned, we grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, we direct that the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs. 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only), with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the Learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Serampore, Hooghly and on further conditions that he shall not leave the jurisdiction of the Serampore police station and shall report to the Inspector-in-Charge of the Serampore police station once in a week until further orders. The petitioner shall appear before the learned trial court on every date of hearing until further orders and shall not intimidate witnesses and/or tamper with evidence in any manner whatsoever. In the event, the petitioner fails to comply with the conditions as enshrined hereinbefore, it is open to the trial court to cancel the bail without further reference to this Court.
