GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the inaction of Respondents in expediting the investigation in Crime No. 182/2022 of Tanuku Rural Police Station, West Godavari by duly filing the Police Report / Charge Sheet 2 against the Respondents No.4 and 5 and others before the concerned Magistrate is arbitrary, illegal, irregular, violative of Articles 14, 19 and 21 of Indian Constitution, unjustified and unsustainable and consequently direct the Respondents to expedite the investigation in Crime No. 182/2022 of Tanuku Rural Police Station, West Godavari District and to duly file Police Report / Charge Sheet against the Respondents No.4 and 5 and others before the concerned Magistrate in accordance with law....” 2. Heard Ms.Sodum Anvesha, learned counsel for the Petitioner and Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned counsel for the Petitioner would submit that the Petitioner herein is the grandfather of the deceased. Learned counsel would further submit that the Investigating Officer has not been conducting the investigation on proper lines. It is submitted that the Petitioner has cited several witnesses, but their statements have not been recorded. Learned counsel would submit that, necessary directions may be given to the Respondent – Authorities for conducting fair and proper investigation in this matter to elicit truth about the death of the granddaughter of the Petitioner. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that the investigation is pending in the present crime. 5. Considering the submissions made, since there are serious allegations made against the alleged culprits and the Petitioner being the grandfather of the deceased wants to submit some information and clues regarding the death of his grand-daughter, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Investigating Officer to look into the information which may be furnished by the Petitioner and take necessary steps to conduct fair investigation in Crime No.182 of 2022 of Tanuku Rural Police Station under the supervision of the 3 Superintendent of Police of the concerned district. Police are further directed to conclude the investigation and file a report in accordance with law, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
