In the present writ petition, the petitioner has challenged the select list dated 13.04.2018 and the non-consideration of the candidature of the petitioner for appointment on the post of Safai Karamchari at Nagar Nigam, Kota pursuant to the selection process initiated vide advertisement and notification dated 25.02.2012. 2. The present writ petition was filed after an inordinate delay of six (6) years in August, 2024. As per the order sheet dated 21.08.2024, the following order was passed:- “This writ petition has been filed assailing the legality and validity of the select list dated 13.04.2018 inasmuch as it does not include name of the petitioners for appointment as Sweeper. However, the writ petition is bereft of any reason for inordinate delay in assailing the select list prepared way back in the year April, 2018. In the interest of justice, petitioners are granted four weeks’ time to submit an affidavit explaining the reason(s) for inordinate delay in preferring the writ petition. List thereafter.” 3. Despite the passage of more than one year & one month, till date, no such affidavit has been filed by the petitioner explaining the reasons for the inordinate delay in preferring this writ petition which reflects that there is no sufficient explanation available with the petitioner to explain such inordinate delay. 4. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed on the ground of gross delay and latches in approaching this Court. (MANEESH SHARMA),J DEEPA-5
