Aswartha Narayana, learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for School Education appearing for the respondents. 2. The grievance of the petitioner is against the action of the respondents in not selecting the petitioner for participating in the 69th School Game Federation of Andhra Pradesh tournament (in short 8SGF AP9). According to the petitioner, his son was representing Ananthapur District Kabadi Team as its captain. It is contended that he had played at various levels representing the District during the years 2023-2025. However, though he had performed well during the selections of National School Games scheduled to be held on 06.01.2026. The respondents did not select the petitioner to play on the ground that the 10th respondent had performed better than the petitioner. On coming to know, that the petitioner was not selected, the petitioner made a representation on 24.11.2025 to the respondent No.2. However, the said representation is still pending for consideration. 3. The learned Government Pleader for School Education has placed before the Court a copy of instructions received by him in the case from the respondent No.2-Director of School Education. A perusal of the same would reflect that the petitioner during the selections has played in the position of Right-in Raider. The remaining players of the District Team who played in the same position had performed well than the petitioner. After evaluation of 4 the performance of the respective players the respondent No.10 was duly selected. 4. It is contended by learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner secured more marks than the respondent No.10. In the three matches conducted during the subject selections. It is further contended by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the representation filed by the petitioner to the 2nd respondent and the same is pending for consideration. 5. Having regard to the same, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition directing the respondent No.2 to pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner on or before 02.01.2026. The petitioner is also granted liberty to file a detailed representation raising all the contentions that have been raised in the present writ petition. 6. With the above observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
