tax demand register for the year 2000-2001. However, the name of the petitioner was not entered in the tax demand register after the death of his father. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 02.09.2021 requesting the respondent No.4 to effect Khata in his name. As respondent No.4 did not take any action, the petitioner again submitted a representation on 02.02.2023. Respondent No.4 once again did not take any action, and therefore, the petitioner submitted a further representation dated 30.03.2023 requesting issuance of Khata in Form Nos.9 and 10 in his name.
(ii) The petitioner claims that a meeting of the Panchayat was held on 05.08.2023 and that, in the said meeting, it was decided to enter the name of the petitioner in the property tax register and to seek permission from respondent No.2 to do so. Accordingly, letters were addressed by respondent No.4 (panchayath) to respondent No.2 seeking permission. The petitioner contends that respondent No.2 has not taken any decision and therefore prays that a direction be issued to respondent No.2 to consider the letter dated 01.09.2023 addressed by respondent No.4.
