Mr. Brij Raj Verma, learned advocate appears on behalf of petitioner and submits, his client's son while relieving himself, slipped into the river and drowned. The unfortunate accident is covered by the scheme "State Disasters Response Fund". He seeks intervention by Court for obtaining the compensation. 2. Mr. Atul Khaneja, learned advocate, State Law Officer appears on behalf of State and submits, there is report dated 15th February, 2025 of the Tehsildar saying petitioner's son committed suicide. 3. We find, the Lekhpal on 14th February, 2025 after making local inquiry had reported that petitioner's son slipped and fell into the river. Relied upon report dated 15th February, 2025 of the Tehsildar is made based on newspaper. The Lekhpal's report is to be relied upon. 4. Respondent no.3 is directed to consider petitioner's claim under notification dated 09th June, 2021. Petitioner will communicate certified copy of this order along with copies of relevant documents to said respondent. Either disbursement of the compensation be made within four weeks of the communication or, reason for rejection made known to petitioner within that time. 5. The writ petition is disposed of.
