GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS declaring highhanded action of the Respondents No. 3 to 6 in not considering the Petitioner representations dated 12.07.2024, and 07.03.2024 for Providing Police Protection to the Petitioner and Petitioners family from the Respondents No. 7 to 11, who are regularly assaulted, interfere into the temple management, and threatened the Petitioner with dire consequences in temple premises and the 6th Respondent not bind over them for their illegal acts and assault the Petitioner in temple premises and again started illegal activities, as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional, violation of Articles 14, 19, 21 and 300-A of the Constitution of India, and consequently direct the Respondents No. 2 to 6 to considering the Petitioner representations dated 12.07.2024, and 07.03.2024 for Providing Police Protection to the Petitioner and Petitioners family from the Respondents No. 7 to 11 and bind over them” 2. Heard Sri P.Saraswathi, learned counsel for the petitioner and Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. 3. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, on written instructions, would submit that, based on the complaint made by the petitioner, a case in Crime No. 18 of 2023 was registered against the unofficial respondents. After conducting an investigation, the police filed a charge sheet, 3 and the case was taken on file as C.C. No. 373 of 2023 on the file of the learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Punganur. It is further submitted that one Krishnappa, on behalf of the petitioner, has also lodged another complaint against the unofficial respondents. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would further submit that, based on the representation of the petitioner, the police have taken appropriate steps against the unofficial respondents by binding them over in M.C. No. 31 of 2024 under Section 107 Cr.P.C. before the Mandal Executive Magistrate, Ramasamudram. 4. Recording the said submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
