JUSTICE BUDI HABUNG ORDER Date : 25.09.2025 Heard Mr. T. Tayeng, learned counsel for the appellant. Also heard Ms. M. Sora, learned counsel for respondents/ claimants. 2. This appeal has been filed under Section 173 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, challenging the judgement and award dated 16.07.2018, passed by the learned Member, Motor Accident Claim Tribunal, Basar in MACT Case No. 01/2016. 3. By an order dated 29.07.2025, this Court referred the matter to the Mediation Centre of the Gauhati High Court Itanagar Permanent Bench, for amicable settlement through mediation. 4. The Mediation Centre has submitted its report indicating that the matter has been settled amicably between the parties. As per the terms of settlement the appellant/Insurance Company has agreed to pay Rs. 2,20,000/- (Rupees Two lakhs twenty thousand) only to respondents/claimants in full and final settlement of the dispute. 5. The parties, who are present through their respective counsels have accepted the terms of settlement. The settlement report is taken on record. 6. In view of the amicable settlement, nothing further survives for adjudication of this appeal. Accordingly, the appeal stands disposed of in terms of the settlement arrived at before Mediation Centre on 17.09.2025. 7. The appellant is directed to deposit the settled amount of Rs. 2,20,000/- (Rupees Two lakhs twenty thousand) before the Registry of this Court within Page No.# 3/3 30(thirty) days from today. On such deposit being made, the respondents/ claimants shall be allowed to withdraw the same. 8. With the above, this MAC.App. No. 06(AP)/2019 stands disposed of. JUDGE Comparing Assistant
