Sl.No. 3 Court No. 35 G.S.Das

WPA 27193 of 2024
Smt. Puja Sur -Vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors.
Mr. Jyoti Prakash Chatterjee
… for the petitioner(s)
Mr. Suman Sengupta Ms. Amrita Panja Moulick
… for the State – Respondent(s)
The petitioner is anxious regarding the progress of investigation, the mode and manner in which the investigation is progressing and, more particularly, with regard to the circulation of obscene materials.
I have perused the Case Diary which has been produced by Mr. Sengupta, learned advocate appearing on behalf of the State. I find therein that seizures have been effected.
So far as the mobile sets are concerned, a Pen Drive has been seized, information have been sent to the social
networking platforms where there is possibility of circulation of the obscene materials, statements are being recorded and the investigation is being proceeded with.
Having considered that the investigation is under progress and expert’s opinion of the forensic team is to be received, I am of the view that, for the time being, the investigation is progressing on the right track. If the investigating officer requires assistance of the complainant, the complainant will cooperate with the investigating officer to take the investigation to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time.
With the aforesaid observations, WPA 27193 of 2024 is disposed of.
Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of.
Case Diary be returned to the learned advocate for the State.
Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta.
