PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following Order : The Criminal Petition has been filed under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for brevity ‘the BNSS’), seeking to enlarge the Petitioner/Accused on bail in Crime No.73 of 2025 of Renigunta Police Station, GRP Guntakal, registered against the Petitioner/Accused herein for the offence punishable under Section 8(c) read with 20(b)(ii)(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for brevity ‘the NDPS Act’). 2. Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor. 3. The allegation against the Petitioner, who is sole Accused in this case, as seen from the record is that on 10.07.2025 he left a bag containing 20 Kgs of ganja in a train. His abandoned bag was seized, vide case in Crime No. 73 of 2025 of Renigunta Police Station, GRP Guntakal. The Petitioner was arrested on execution of PT Warrant on 29.07.2025. He has been in judicial custody for the past 79 days. Nearly 21 cases are being pending against the Petitioner. One of those cases, which is a case in Crime No.73 of 2025 registered punishable under the provisions of ‘the NDPS Act’. So far, only 7 witnesses are examined. Investigation is at progressive stage. Hence, at this stage, request for enlarging the Petitioner is not found convincing and reasonable. 4. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. _________________________ DR. Y.
