Upon hearing the learned counsel for the parties, this Court made the following judgment : (Per : Shri Alok Kumar Verma, J.) The present Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India with the following prayers:- “(i) Issue a writ, order or direction in nature of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to complete the upgradation/repair work of Narayanbagarh - Parkhal Motor Bridge as soon as possible but not later than 10th April, 2025. (ii) Issue a writ, order, or direction in nature of mandamus directing the official 2025:UHC:2669-DB 2 respondents to take strict action against the erring officials as per law. (iii) Issue any other relief, which this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case be passed in favour of the petitioner. (iv) Cost of the petition be awarded in favour of the petitioner.” 2. Heard Mr. D.S. Mehta, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. S.S. Chaudhary, learned Brief Holder for the State. 3. Mr. D.S. Mehta, Advocate, for the petitioner submitted that the upgradation work of Narayanbagarh – Parkhal Motor Bridge was undertaken by the respondent authorities in the month of December and due to the said repair/ upgradation of the bridge, the traffic kept stalled for three months from 20.12.2024. The repairing work has not been completed yet. 4. Mr. S.S. Chaudhary, Brief Holder for the State, on instructions dated 01.04.2025, submitted that the respondent no.4 undertakes that the upgradation work/ repairing work of the said bridge shall be completed by 20.04.2025. 5. After the said undertaking, on the request of Mr. D.S.
