GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: “.... to issue a Writ, order or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents 3 to 5, particularly 5th respondent in calling the petitioner to his police station frequently kept in the police station from morning to evening without having any valid reasons and 2 without having any complaint against the petitioner and his family members is illegal, arbitrary and against the principles of natural justice and also violative of Articles 14, 19, 21 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents police not to call the petitioner and his family members to the police station without having any valid reasons in the interest of justice.” 2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. 3. Sri Md.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, by way of counter affidavit, would submit that four crimes have been registered against the petitioner. To curb and curtail the unlawful activities of the petitioner, the police have opened a suspect sheet against him. 4. Recording the submissions made by the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, the Writ Petition is disposed of. However, the police are directed to follow due process of law regarding the crimes registered against the petitioner. There shall be no order as to costs.
