This is a petition for initiation of contempt proceedings against the respondents for their willful disobedience and non-compliance of order dated 14.06.2022 passed by this Court in WP (C) No. 1288/2022 titled Sham Lal & Ors. Vs. UT of J & K & Ors., whereby this Court issued a direction to the respondents to consider the case of the petitioners for demarcation of land falling under Khasra No. 98, measuring 1 Kanal 15 Marlas, Khasra No. 191/39, measuring 4 Kanals 8 Marlas and Khasra No. 38, measuring 2 Kanals 2 Marlas situated in Village Kupper, Tehsil & District Jammu. 2. In compliance of the judgment (supra), the respondents have filed their compliance report in which it is clearly stated that a commission was constituted by Tehsildar Jammu vide Order dated 22.09.2022 headed by Naib Tehsildar, Surinsar for conducting demarcation and after conducting the same on 15.11.2022, the Sr. No. 73 2 CCP (S) No. 284/2022 commission has submitted its demarcation report to the Deputy Commissioner, Jammu. 3. As the judgment passed by this Court stands complied with, therefore, there is no point in keeping the contempt proceedings pending in this Court. As such, the proceedings in the contempt petition are closed and rule, if any, framed shall stand discharged.
