The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Karra P.S. Case No. 44 of 2024, corresponding G.R. No. 498 of 2024, for the offence registered under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of Smt. Vidyawati Kumari, learned S.D.J.M., Khunti. On 26.04.2024, batteries were stolen from BSNL Tower, situated in village Jabra. It was submitted that nothing incriminating has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner. Learned A.P.P on behalf of the State has submitted that the stolen batteries were recovered from the godown of one Zakir Ansari on the pointing out of this petitioner. It appears that petitioner is an accused of as many as 18 cases of similar nature. In view of the criminal antecedent of the petitioner, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected. (Ambuj Nath, J.) BS/-
