On the basis of said information, Merg No. 37/2024 was registered and during merg investigation, the police recorded statement of the witnesses, who suspected the applicant and stated that the applicant was lastly seen together with the deceased Urmila. Thereafter the applicant has been arrested by police of Police Station Gharghoda, District Raigarh (C.G.) on 23.062024 for alleged offence punishable under Section 302 of IPC. 3. It was argued by the learned counsel for the applicant that though the deceased Urmila Minj was living with the applicant as his wife at village Barpali, but since last one and half years, she has left the house of applicant and she used to live at village Sakarliya. He further submits that the prosecution has not collected any documents, which may show involvement of applicant in commission of murder of Smt. Urmila Minj. The applicant is in jail since 23.06.2024. Though, the trial is in progress, till date, the same has not been concluded. 4. On the other hand, the learned counsel for the State opposes the bail application and submits that there is ample evidence on record to connect the appellants with commission of the offence. Considering the nature and gravity of offence and further considering the fact the applicant was lastly seen together with the deceased Urmila and Gamccha was recovered from the possession of the applicant in which blood stain was found, therefore, the aforesaid bail application of applicant is rejected. 7. However, this Court hope and trust that the trial Court shall make an earnest endeavour to conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible, if there is no legal impediment. 8.
