This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: <…to issue a Writ of Mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order or direction, declaring the action of the respondents 4 and 5 in illegally interfering with the Petitioner's peaceful life and liberty and calling to the police stations and harassing, threatening the Petitioner and forcibly taking signatures on blank papers and promissory notes under threat to life without registering any complaint and without following due process of law, as illegal, arbitrary, without jurisdiction and violative of Article 21 of Constitution and further direct the respondents not to interfere with the Petitioner's personal life and liberty..=
2. Heard Sri K.B.Ramanna Dora, learned counsel for petitioner and Sri V.Farook, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for respondents. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that police are calling the petitioner to the police station without there being any crime registered against the petitioner and interfering in the civil dispute between the parties. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home for respondents, on written instructions, would submit that police are not interfering in the civil dispute between the parties. Learned Assistant Government Pleader would further submit that on receipt of 100 dial call, police have visited the place for enquiry. Dr.VJP,J W.P.No.13197 of 2022
5. Recording the same, the writ petition is disposed of. However, police are directed not to interfere in the civil dispute and not to call the petitioner to the police station in the absence of any crime registered against the petitioner. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. ________________________________________
