This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief: “to issue writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction the inaction of the respondents in deleting the petitioners pensions in the pensioners list under the scheme of Old Age and Single Woman pensions to them in the year 2019, in spite of the same is sanctioned to petitioners long back under Y.S.R. Pension Kanuka vide Pension ID Nos. 102864437, 102868838, 102868856, 102864843, 10286410286847, 102864858, 102868861, 102864851, 102467502, 102868862, 102868858,102469102, 102359568, 102339095, 10200002472, 10239985, 102895600, 102410712, 102865117, 102865118, 102865247, 102865123, 102204984 and 102868872 is illegal, arbitrary and violative of principals of natural justice and consequently direct them to pay the pensions to the petitioners forthwith and to pass such…..” 2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Standing counsel for the 5th respondent. 3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are permanent residents of Chukkupet, Chowdhantivalasa, and Dasupet villages of Dattirajeru Mandal, Vizianagaram District. The petitioners were identified as member of the Below Poverty Line families and low-income category group and they are living in indigent conditions. Considering the same, the Government of Andhra Pradesh granted pensions to the petitioners from the year 2009 onwards. Pursuant thereto, the 4th respondent certified that the petitioners are eligible for pensions under the categories of Single Women Pension and Old Age Pension as per G.O.Ms.No.70, dated 08.06.2018. He further submits that without issuing any prior notice to the petitioners or inviting their objections, the Gram Panchayat Pensions Committee deleted the names of the petitioners from the list of beneficiaries of pension without assigning any valid reason. Consequently, the petitioners have submitted several representations since 2019 to the respondent authorities, requesting them to take steps for the disbursement of Old Age and Single Widow Pensions. It is further submitted that, despite several representations made since 2019 requesting for the release of pensions already sanctioned to them under the YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme, the respondent authorities neither considered, passed, nor duly sanctioned the social security pensions till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition. 4. On the other hand, the learned Standing Counsel for the 5th respondent furnished written instructions dated 24.09.2025, wherein it is stated that the petitioners are eligible persons and they are entitled to receive social security pensions. He further submits that the respondent authorities will consider the representations of the petitioners and that, from the next month onwards, the pensions will be sanctioned to the petitioners pursuant to G.O.Ms.No.174. 5. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Standing Counsel for the 5th respondent, and on perusal of the material available on record, and in view of the admitted fact on the part of the respondents that the petitioners are eligible and entitled to receive social security pensions as per G.O.Ms.No.174, the pensions are liable to be sanctioned to the petitioners with immediate effect. 6. In view of the clear and categorical admission on the part of the respondents, this Court is inclined to dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent Nos. 5 and 6 to consider the representations of the petitioners and pass appropriate orders within a period of two (02) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 7. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
