The case of the prosecution is that the first accused was found in possession of 5 kg 400 gram of tobacco products. The petitioner, who is the first accused in Spl.SC.No.47 of 2023, has been convicted and sentenced by the learned Special Court for Trial of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act Cases, Villupuram, vide judgment dated 30.12.2024, as follows: Rank of the accused Conviction under Section Sentence awarded A1 Section 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of 10 years and to pay fine of Rs.1,00,000/- 3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent. 4.
