THE HONOURABLE DR JUSTICE VENKATA JYOTHIRMAI PRATAPA CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 10020 OF 2025 ORDER: The instant petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 has been filed, by the Petitioner/Accused No.3, seeking to quash the proceedings in C.C.No. 18/2018 (in so far as petitioner is concerned) on the file of Hon'ble Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Mylavaram, Krishna District. 02. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent-State. 03. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner herein is arrayed as Accused No.1 and is the husband of the 2nd respondent/de-facto complainant. It is submitted that the petitioner is facing trial for the offence punishable under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code in Crime No. 03 of 2018 of Mylavaram Police Station, Krishna District. It is further submitted that the matter has been pending for trial since 2019 and despite issuance of summons to the de-facto complainant on several occasions, she has not appeared before the trial Court. The learned counsel therefore prays that a direction may be issued to the trial Court to expedite disposal of the said case within a reasonable time. 04. On the other hand, the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the Court may pass appropriate orders. 05.
Having considered the submissions made by both sides and on perusal of the record, this Criminal Petition is disposed of, directing the learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Mylavaram, Krishna District, to proceed with the trial in C.C. No. 18 of 2018 and dispose of the same, in accordance with law. The trial Court shall make every endeavour to dispose of the case as expeditiously

as possible, without granting adjournments in a casual manner. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed. _______________________________________
