ORAL ORDER
In this petition, petitioners have sought for the following reliefs:-
“Wherefore, it is prayed that this Hon’ble Court be pleased to allow this Petition and Quash the criminal entire proceedings bearing CC No. 65978/2024 on the file of the XXIX Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate at Bengaluru, Mayo Hall Unit for the offence punishable u/sec. 498-A, 504 R/w 34 IPC, which is now pending, in the interest of Justice.”
2. Subsequently, a Joint Petition under Section 13(B) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1956, having been filed by the 1st petitioner and 2nd respondent for a decree of divorce by mutual consent, the same was referred to mediation for amicable settlement between

the parties. In the said mediation between the petitioners and 2nd respondent, the parties have agreed mutually to get the present petition allowed and the impugned proceedings being quashed.
3. Today, petitioner No.1 and 2nd respondent are physically present before the Court and admit that they have amicably settled the disputes between them.
4. In view of the aforesaid settlement entered into between the petitioners and 2nd respondent, I pass the following:
ORDER
(i) Petition is disposed of in terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties.
(ii) All further proceedings in C.C.No.65978/2024 arising out of Crime No.17/2024 registered by the 1st respondent – Police for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 504 r/w 34 of IPC, pending on the file of XXIX Addl.CJM, Bangalore, insofar as the petitioners are concerned are hereby quashed.
