GP FOR HOME (AP) The Court made the following: THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE B.V.L.N.CHAKRAVARTHI WRIT PETITION No.20414 of 2019 ORDER: The present writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondent police to register an FIR based on the complaint dated 20.09.2019 and to complete the investigation expeditiously, in accordance with law, as laid down by the Supreme Court in Lalita Kumari v. Government of Uttar Pradesh (AIR 2014 SC 187). 2. Heard learned counsel representing the petitioner and Sri R. Mallikarjuna Rao, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home, appearing for the respondents. 3. The learned Assistant Government Pleader, on written instructions, submitted that the police had already registered Crime No.608 of 2019 under Sections 448, 506, and 509 read with Section 34 IPC, completed the investigation, and filed a charge sheet against accused Nos.1 to 4. Consequently, the learned IV Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Vijayawada, took cognizance and numbered the case as C.C. No.3451 of 2020. Subsequently, on 14.12.2024, the petitioner and the accused amicably settled the matter before the National Lok Adalat, and the case was disposed of under Section 320(8) Cr.P.C. 4. In view of the above developments, since the investigation was completed, the charge sheet was filed, and the matter was settled between the parties, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for further adjudication. Accordingly, the Writ Petition has become infructuous and is liable to be dismissed. 5. Accordingly, the present Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
