JUSTICE GANESH RAM MEENA Order 19/11/2025 This writ petition is filed by the petitioner with a prayer to consider the case of the petitioner for selection to the post of Accountant/Junior Accountant in the OBC-General category as per his merit and to give appointment. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has secured that much total marks that he stands in the merit list of OBC-General category. He further submits that the candidates who have secured less marks than the petitioner, have been declared selected. Learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner has not been able to secure the minimum required marks in the General Knowledge paper as has been admitted by the petitioner himself. As per terms and conditions of the advertisement and recruitment, a candidate is required to secure minimum 35 marks in the paper of General Knowledge for being considered for [2025:RJ-JP:46792] (2 of 2) [CW-13716/2014] selection to the post of Accountant/Junior Accountant. As has been admitted by the petitioner in para 5 of the petition that he is short by 2.8 marks in the subject of General Knowledge. The petitioner has not been able to secure the minimum required marks in the paper of General Knowledge. In view of the fact that the petitioner has not been able to secure the minimum required marks in the paper of General Knowledge, the claim of the petitioner for selection to the post of Accountant/Junior Accountant doesn't seem to be tenable.
