Present petition has been filed seeking issuance of directions to official respondents to conclude the investigation in case FIR No.61 dated 20.09.2024 under Sections 316(2) & 351(2) of BNS, 2023, registered at Police Station Division 1, District Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana. Further prayer has been made to direct that Final Report under Section 193 of the BNSS, 2023 in the said FIR be presented in terms of the order dated 23.12.2024 passed by the Illaqa Magistrate in CRM- 47951-2024, as the petitioner has a bona fide and well-conceived apprehension that the police officials conducting the investigation in the aforementioned FIR have colluded with the accused and are acting under the influence and pressure of local politicians, with the intent to grant undue benefit to the accused. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is complainant who lodged the FIR. However, the Investigating Agencies with mala fide intention, are not proceeding with the investigation . On the asking of the Court, Mr. Tarun Aggarwal, Sr. D.A.G., Punjab. accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. He, on instructions from Inspector Gaganpreet Singh, has submitted that investigation is complete and cancellation has been recommended in this case. He submits that the same would be presented before the Illaqa Magistrate within a period of 10 days. 5. In view of the above, the present petition stands disposed of and the respondent-State is directed to present the cancellation report within a period of 10 days. On presentation of the cancellation report, as submitted before this Court, learned Magistrate concerned, would issue notice to the petitioner-complainant and would proceed with the same in accordance with law.
