Petitioner has been made accused in connection with Jaldega (Bansjor O.P.) P.S. Case No. 57 of 2024, for the offences registered under Sections 20(b)(i)(c)/22(c) of the N.D.P.S. Act, pending in the Court of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, (N.D.P.S.), Simdega. On 25.10.2024 at about 6:10 A.M., Jaldega police intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration No. OD-10J-6750 from a place near Bansjor Khamantanr Check Post and apprehended co-accused Runjan Mehta and on search, 23.07 kgs. of cannabis were recovered from his possession. It was submitted that petitioner was neither apprehended at the spot nor anything was recovered from his possession. It was further submitted that the name of the petitioner has transpired in confession of co-accused. Learned Spl.P.P. has opposed the prayer for bail, but does not dispute the aforesaid facts. In view of the submission made above, I am inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the petitioner, named above, is directed to be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs. 20,000/- (Rupees twenty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each, to the satisfaction of learned Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, (N.D.P.S.), Simdega, in connection with Jaldega (Bansjor O.P.)
