2 The Court made the following order:- The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:
“ to issue a writ, order or direction, especially one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the Demand Notice NO.1441VG/2022 dt.24.01.2023 issued by Respondent No.2 without considering the reply given by the petitioner for the Show cause notice dt. 12.08.2022 and thereby insisting the petitioner to pay an amount of Rs.28,65,984/- towards penalty as arbitrary, illegal in violation of Principles of Natural Justice without jurisdiction and violative of Articles 14 and 19 of the Constitution of India and contrary to APMMC Rules, 1966 consequently set aside the same and pass such other order or orders ” The short grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner is a

\ partnership firm and granted a Mineral dealer license on 09.01.2020, by the Deputy Director of Mines and Geology, Srikakulam, for a period of 20 years. While things stood thus, the 2""^ respondent issued show cause notice dated 25.07.2022 and the petitioner submitted his explanation on
12.09.2022. Without considering the said explanation, the respondents are insisting the petitioner to pay an amount of Rs.28,65,984/-. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition is filed. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Mines and Geology

i proceedings, the petitioner filed revision petition before the 1®‘ respondent and the same is pending. At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner requested this Court that it would suffice to direct the 1®^ respondent to dispose of the revision petition, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible. Acceding to the request made by the
learned counsel for the petitioner, the present Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the 1®* respondent to dispose of the revision petition, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two (02) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.
