ORDER:
This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the BNSS, has been filed by the petitioners herein/A1 to A3, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.226 of 2024 of Butchiyyapeta P.S., registered for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 read with 8(c) of the NDPS, Act.

Brief facts of the case are that, on 22.11.2024, on receipt of credible information, the Inspector of Butchiyyapeta P.S., along with his staff and mediators rushed to the Main road, near Sugarcane Weighing Machine Point, outskirts of Butchiyyapeta Village, while conducting vehicle checking apprehended the Accused Nos. 1 to 3 and seized 100 kgs of Ganja from their possession and a case has been registered against the accused.
3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing the respondent/State. Perused the material on record.
4. The petitioners herein were arrested on 22.11.2024 and since then they have been in judicial custody. The quantity of contraband involved in present crime is 100 Kgs of Ganja, which is a commercial quantity. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor vehemently opposed the petition in the light of Section 37 of NDPS Act. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court does not find any grounds to consider the case of the Petitioners for granting of regular bail.

5. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed.
As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition shall stand closed.
