By way of this petition, the petitioner has sought the following relief(s):- “10.1 That this Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to direct the respondents to call for the complete record pertaining to the case. 10.2 The Hon’ble Court may kindly be pleased to quash the impugned order as the respondent no. 2 dated 20/05/2019 which has been passed illegally violating the mandatory provisions of the Act. 10.3 Any other relief may also be granted to the petitioner which may deem fit and proper.” 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the permit was granted by respondent No. 2 in favour of respondent No. 3 for a period of 5 SIDDHANT TAMRAKAR Digitally signed by SIDDHANT TAMRAKAR Date: 2025.08.29 17:44:46 +0530 2 years from 20.05.2019, contrary to provisions of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and Chhattisgarh Motor Vehicle Rules, 1994, and period of five years has already expired. He would further submit that the respondent No. 3 has not moved any application for renewal of permit; therefore, the instant petition, at this stage, may be disposed of, reserving liberty in favour of the petitioner to approach this Court if the respondent No. 3 moves an application for renewal of permit. 3. No objection from the other side. 4. As the period of permit granted in favour of respondent No. 3 has already expired on 31.05.2024; therefore, the instant petition is hereby disposed of.
