Shri Mohammad Yaseen, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner claims that she is entitled to appointment on compassionate ground since her father died in harness. She has made a representation in this regard but to no avail. Ms. Tanisha Jahangir Monir, learned counsel for the respondents No. 2 and 3 submits that the matter requires determination of facts by the competent authority as per law in the first instance. However, she fairly contends that the claim for appointment on compassionate ground is liable to be decided by the competent authority in a reasonable time frame. In the wake of preceding discussions and without going into the merits of the case, the respondent No.3-Regional Manager, U.P. State Road Transport Corporation, Ghazipur is directed to decide the representation of the petitioner regarding claim for appointment on compassionate ground, preferably, within a period of three months as per law from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order along with a fresh copy of the representation.
