1. On previous date, i.e. on 19.08.2026, the following order was passed :
“1.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the issue involved is covered by the judgment in the case of Ashok s/o Narayanprasad Shukla v. The State of Maharashtra & Ors. (Writ Petition No. 2045/2025).
2. The respondents shall go through the judgment and make a statement. If the issue involved is covered, the respondents shall extend the benefit of the judgment before the next date.
3. List in the week commencing 07.09.2026.”
2. The learned counsel appearing for the parties are ad idem that the issue involved is covered by the aforesaid judgment.
3. In view thereof, and for the reasons stated in the order, the petition is allowed.
4. Respondent No. 4 shall consider the issue in the light of the aforesaid judgment and extend retiremental benefits to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible, and preferably within 12 weeks from today, if there is no other legal impediment.
