This criminal misc. application is filed under Section 528 of B.N.S.S. by the Applicants for quashing of the Charge Sheet No. 01 of 2023 under Sections 324, 498-A, 504 & 506 of IPC read with Section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act (FIR No.0414 of 2022) as well as the entire criminal proceedings of Criminal Case No.925 of 2023, titled as “State of Uttarakhand vs. Devender Singh Patwal & Others” pending in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ramnagar, District Nainital, in view of the compromise arrived at between the parties. 5. In view of the fact that a Compounding Application (IA No. 01 of 2025) was filed by the parties before the Court alongwith affidavits of the Applicants and respondent no.2. 6. The Coordinate Bench of this Court vide order dated 23.04.2025 directed the parties to appear before the Member Secretary, Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority at Nainital for recording their statements but the same could not be done as the parties could not appear before the Member Secretary due to some unavoidable circumstances. Thereafter, vide order dated 08.05.2025, they are permitted to appear before the Member Secretary, Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority at Nainital on 22.05.2025 as a 2025:UHC:5099 last opportunity pursuant to order dated 23.04.2025. 7. Pursuant to such order, the Member Secretary, Uttarakhand State Legal Services Authority at Nainital has submitted his report dated 22.05.2025, which is part of the record, which clearly indicates that the parties have settled the dispute amicably and respondent no.2 does not wish to prosecute the Applicants. 8. In view of the above, Compounding Application (IA No.01 of 2025) is allowed. As a consequence thereof, the Charge Sheet No. 01 of 2023 under Sections 324, 498-A, 504 & 506 of IPC read with Section 3/4 of Dowry Prohibition Act (FIR No.0414 of 2022) as well as the entire criminal proceedings of Criminal Case No.925 of 2023, titled as “State of Uttarakhand vs. Devender Singh Patwal & Others” pending in the court of Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ramnagar, District Nainitalare hereby quashed. 9.
