The Court made the following: 3 ORDER: The instant writ petition has been filed by the petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following main prayer: “ to issue a writ, order or direction, especially one in the nature of a Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the respondents in not allowing the petitioner to discharge his duties in the 3rd respondent Bank, i.e., Syndicate Bank, Main Branch, Anantapur, situated near Tower Clock, Anantapur, Anantapur District, as a Security Guard, as illegal and arbitrary, and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and proper.” 2. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is presently working as a Security Guard on contract basis in the Canara Bank Branch, Anantapur (Currency Chest). It is also brought to the notice of this Court that Syndicate Bank has merged with Canara Bank. Since the petitioner is presently working in the Canara bank, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission of the Court to withdraw the writ petition. 3. Permission is accorded. 4. Recording the said submission, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, granting liberty to the writ petitioner to work out his legal remedies, if any, in accordance with law.
