Neutral Citation No. - 2025:AHC:51367 Court No. - 6 Case :- WRIT - A No. - 24462 of 2014 Petitioner :- Smt. Akansha Pandey Respondent :- State Of U.P. And 3 Others Counsel for Petitioner :- Anil Kumar Srivastava,Swarn Kumar Srivastava Counsel for Respondent :- A.K. Yadav Hon'ble Saurabh Shyam Shamshery,J. 1. This case is pending since 2014. Today, none appeared on behalf of petitioner. 2. In this writ petition, petitioner has claimed compassionate appointment since her father-in-law died in harness on 21.07.2008. 3. Learned Standing Counsel supports the impugned order dated 29.10.2011 whereby claim of petitioner for compassionate appointment was rejected on 2 grounds, firstly, daughter-in-law was not included within the definition of "Family" and a liberty was granted that her husband i.e. son of deceased employee can be offered compassionate appointment. 4. Learned Standing Counsel further submits that an impleadment application was filed by husband of petitioner/son of deceased employee stating that he may be considered for compassionate appointment. Impleadment Application was filed on 05.02.2022, however, it was not pressed. 5. I have considered above submissions and I do not find any illegality in the impugned order. The impleadment application also supports the impugned order. 6. Since now husband of petitioner has come forward to claim compassionate appointment, however, at this belated stage i.e. after 16 years of death of father-in-law of petitioner/father of husband of petitioner, the object of compassionate appointment i.e. to tide over immediate financial crisis does not exist. 7. Otherwise also, today none appeared on behalf of petitioner either to press this writ petition or to press impleadment application. 8. In view of above, this writ petition is dismissed with a cost of Rs. 1000/- to be deposited in High Court Bar Association, Allahabad. No order is passed on impleadment application. 9. In case cause still survives, the petitioner may file recall/review application within 8 weeks. 10. Registry will accept recall/review application only when a copy of receipt of cost is annexed along with said application. Order Date :- 9.4.2025 Sinha_N.
